Hello and welcome to my project Asterism! This is my oldest project, and I’ve been working on it for many years, so I hope you enjoy the content on this page (or at least what’s on this page at the moment.)

IN THE LANDS OF CELESTRIS
Tensions are growing as relations continue to worsen between the eight domains, whispers of war breaking out becoming ever so more prevalent. Blights continue to pop up all over the continent, infecting livestock, crops, and the people. The gods continue their long dream, many believe they will never return.

Young Polaris from Asteri has always wished to leave her home and see the world, but she never actually imagined she’d ever get the chance. When the new outsider to her home offered her the opportunity to help with their lands-wide mission, how could Polaris say no?

Polaris and Carnelian are the protagonists of Asterism. While seemingly different in nearly every sense of the word, they make a force to be reckoned with when they team up.

Deymos and Aelia belong to opposing domains, whose borders continue to have hostile skirmishes. Despite this fact, the two of them have decided to work together in order to stop the brewing war between their two homes.

✦ DOMAINS ✦

There exists eight Domains within Celestris, each worshipping a certain aspect of nature. In legends of time past, it was believed there was a ninth domain, but records of such a thing no longer exist.

Asteri

While being the smallest domain in terms of area, Asteri prides itself as “the birthplace of magic”. While the origin of the name remains debatable, it’s undeniable that Asteri houses some of the most powerful mages in all of Celestris. Ruled by Lord Crux alongside their twelve aides, Asteri is one of the seemingly two neutral domains in Celestris.

The people of Asteri worship Kochab, God of the stars. Knowledge is held in high regard in Asteri society, and many Asterians try to pursue the highest level of education possible. This has given way to a competitive yet tight knit community.

Kahalios

The largest Domain in terms of area, Kahalios is home to many sunny islands and a rather mountainous mainland. Kahalios is known for its strong land army, which seems to be helping them a bit with the current rising tensions with Tsukuni. Empress Kleos seems to be spearheading the current escalating conflicts.

The people of Kahalios worship Errai, God of the Sun. Strength and Chivalry is praised within the lands, leading many youths wanting to become great heroes for their homeland.

Tsukuni

Tsukuni is home to a mountainous mainland, alongside strings of islands alongside its coast. Known for its dense forests and (relatively) reserved inhabitants, Tsukuni much rather prefers tactical  warfare than to Kahalios’s much more physical approach. There have been rumours about who is to succeed the aging Emperor Sanshirō..

The people of Tsukuni worship Alfirk, God of the Moon. “Alfirk’s light cuts to the truth” is one of the well known phrases in Tsukuni, and many of Alfirks worshippers are Paladins, Lawyers, and Poets.

Okína

Home of Savannas, Plains, and Jungles, Okína is most well known for their great Volcano in which their capital rests. Known for their exceptional blacksmiths and fauna, Okína attracts many visitors to their Domain from all over. Despite this, there have been many rumours that their god is displeased, which has caused the great volcano to wake up from its dormancy.

The people of Okína worship Fawaris, the God of fire. While many might be wary of such a domain, Okína is home to one of the most diverse places in all of Celestris, and many people work in harmony with the wildlife around them.

Ainawai

Known for their countless islands, bright beaches, and clear waters, Ainawai is home to what many consider a tropical paradise. Ainawai hosts long standing traditions of boat making and artistic crafts. Despite being the domain of water, land is just as important to the citizens of Ainawai. Recent news from the royal court of Ainawai denotes a certain royal guard attempting a coup.

The people of Ainawai worship Alderamin, God of water. Love runs deep and fierce in Ainawai, as well as respect. Many hold the ocean in very high regard, and believe those who do not give heed to the water deserve its wrath.

Sunahara

One of the largest domains, Sunahara is home to both Desert and Tropic. Surrounded by high mountainsides, the middle of Sunahara houses an oasis of biodiversity and beauty. Known for their bustling capital, Sunahara experiences lots of trade and wealth. Sunahara is also known for their abundance in artists and craftsman. There’s been whispers that the high society of Sunahara seem to be dealing with a “group of resistance”.

The people of Sunahara worship Deneb, God of Earth. As such, agriculture is an important aspect of life in Sunahara.

Maidala

Nestled in the valley beneath Asteri, Maidala is home to many nomadic tribes that are always on the move. Freedom is a very important facet, as well as change. Maidala houses the tallest mountain range in all of Celestris, which makes it very hard for travelers to cross the middle of the continent. Only the most experienced know the best paths through the cliff sides.

The people of Maidala worship Vega, God of wind. Like the title suggests, the people living in the valley are always on the move, mimicking the changing weather around them.

Ukkonaa

Being the northernmost Domain in Celestris, Ukkonaa is home to constant tempests of lightning and snow. As is the weather, the people who live in Ukkonaa are fierce and wild. While many outsiders would look at their insane weather and question why people would want to live there, the people of Ukkonaa cherish it as home. Despite this, there have been concerns over the increasingly dangerous weather thats only growing stronger…

The people of Ukonaa worship Edasich, God of Thunder. Legends say Edasich was once struck from the sky in a great battle, and the impact of their fall continues to echo, forming the lightning that strikes from the heavens..
